Frances R. Broussard focuses her practice on the representation of school districts, colleges, and other governmental entities.  Ms. Broussard regularly assists clients with personnel matters, school board grievances, ethics and conflict of interest, student discipline issues, and compliance with the Texas Public Information Act and Open Meetings Act.  Ms. Broussard also handles real estate and business transactions, the preparation and review of business contracts and employment contracts, and drafting of policies, handbooks, and programs. 

Prior to joining Thompson & Horton, Ms. Broussard was an attorney with Wells, Peyton, Greenberg & Hunt LLP, where she represented school districts in Southeast Texas. While in law school, she interned for United States District Judge Lynn N. Hughes and Judge James Mehaffy of the 58th Judicial District of Texas.  Ms. Broussard was an Assistant Editor for the South Texas Law Review.
